Why Japanese Matcha green tea is expensive and vary in price?
Japanese Matcha production is limited and the pricing of matcha is directly related to which quality of leaves is being used, where they were grown and the type of farmers which cultivated it. Our local farmers closely supervise the growing, harvesting and sorting of matcha leaves which is also grown using organic methods. They also spend a lot of time steaming, drying, sorting and grinding the tea leaves. Each stone grinder on average produces only about 40 grams of matcha green tea powder in an hour.
